Stephanie Ferrell | 16 Runbird

Stephanie has been playing volleyball for 10 years and is a natural born athlete having played basketball and ran track before fully committing all her time to volleyball at fifteen. She attended high school in Los Angeles, California and played club volleyball for SCVC under Mick Haley (USC) and his wife Carrie. During her club and high school years she garnered multiple all-city and all-tournament honors.

After graduating high school she was recruited by Mike Sealy (UCLA) to attend the University of Hawaii (Dave Shoji) on a full scholarship to play volleyball. She helped lead her team to three Conference titles, 2 Elite 8 appearances, and a Final Four appearance in 2009.

She then transferred to the University of Florida (Mary Wise), where she concluded her career winning one SEC title and making two Elite 8 appearances.

Stephanie is naturally an outside hitter but also spent some time playing in the middle in her younger years. Stephanie specializes in training outside hitters and blocking and is currently training to pursue a career overseas.

Stephanie is going into her eighth season coaching club volleyball spending time coaching in Los Angeles (Starlings), Hawaii (Imi'ike), Florida (Gainesville Juniors), and Northern California (Encore and Monsoon) before coming to Reno.

This is Stephanie's first year with Silver State and is currently the head coach of the 14s Runbird Reno and 16s Mizuno Reno.
