SILVER STATE VOLLEYBALL MISSION
As a non-profit organization, our mission is to provide the opportunity for players in the Reno/Carson/Truckee/Tahoe area to play high-level volleyball while learning sportsmanship, teamwork, and valuable life skills through competition and challenging training in a positive learning environment. The goal is to create productive, proactive participants in life.
Player development and max potential are our primary objectives. Coaches focus on teaching sound fundamental mechanics, preparing players physically and mentally to compete at a high level, and developing good teammates. We believe that if we get the learning process right, players will enjoy the journey, compete well, achieve max performance on the court, and the wins will come.
Please double check age group definitions as there have been a few changes
In order to keep our Tryout numbers down, if you are a member of our Middle School FALL teams or High School FALL teams, you are NOT required to attend a Tryout. All players in these programs will be evaluated for the upcoming 2020-2021 club season.
Families will receive a Player Evaluation via email and be contacted by a SSVC staff member within 24 hours following their tryout.
OPEN TRYOUT SCHEDULE
If you are interested in joining a team for the 2020-2021 club season but are unable to make any of these tryouts, send us an email [email protected] and we will work with you to set up an alternative.
2020-2021 TEAM INFORMATION
The 2020-2021 club season schedule are very fluid and subject to change. We post transparent pricing to allow families to make an informed decision. Not included in this price is player transportation, rooming, and food for tournaments.
Club volleyball is for anyone that loves to play volleyball! We offer 3 types of teams to help players find the team that aligns most with their desires for the season and goals for their volleyball careers. Those types are Travel, League and Regional.
